Born and raised in New York City and of South Korean descent Jennifer Lee, graduated from the Parsons New School for Design in 2013. Her aesthetic and view of beauty as a designer, generally speaking, is reflective of tailoring, minimal, asymmetry and geometric shapes. The woman she designs for is independent, non-flamboyant but remains interesting, strong but isn't scared of being beautiful in a respectful way. Her senior thesis collection was inspired by the idea of defense mechanisms. She correlated

this idea with the imagery of armour - a metaphor for the the shell and protection we build around ourselves unconsciously. Also the elements of asymmetry seen in the collection garments reflect the barrier we create when relationships become more deep and personal.
