kaijing chen is a London based textile designer who recently graduated from The London College of Fashion.
Kaijing's final collection Memento is based on memory and medicine visualised through digital print. The patterns are bold and contrasting,
both in colour and pattern
The prints are designed using bright colours to symbolise the happy feeling people have when they recover from an illness.
The print patterns created incorporate various elements that are used in Chinese medicine. An

can be seen in the photographic print pattern of a herb cabinet drawer, found in special herbal shops,
and the illustrated drawings of healing herbs.
Abstract art techniques were also used to create the Shard print which symbolizes different fragments of the human collective memory.
