Mary Binding is a London based Womenswear designer. She aims to create wearable fashion that is relevant to women today. Colour plays a key part
in all her work, taking prominence in both her garments and her editorial work. Mary Binding graduated from London College of Fashion in July 2012 with
First Class Hons. The collection is inspired by the smooth curves and linear elements of 60’s furniture, smooth shiny wooden panels that sit next to upholstered
bright hues in coarse Meltons. Concrete poured buildings with rounded edges, curved openings

and material contrasts. The collection plays with proportion and texture contrasts. Opposing textures sit alongside each other, a shiny patent leather
tops a fluffy angora, a juxtaposition that emphasises both textures. Heritage fabrics are central to the design concept.
